The 60's saw the Sexual Revolution, and from all the anecdotes told in movies and television shows about the period is that the guys followed the women for one reason: try to get laid. And all the cute girls were marching in the rallies, so the guys naturally showed up to show they cared about the cause.

Fast forward to today. Go to a Code Pink rally or another anti-war rally attended by females, and the attractiveness is just not there. Guys are not interested in trying to pick up chicks who do not shave their legs or underarms, so they stay away. And as a result, the crowds are dwindling.

Pluto recently has been downgraded from a planet. I have been very sad about this because Pluto has always been my favorite. I feel Pluto has been severely wronged.... but can the tiny planet sue? This post suggests Pluto could file suit under the following theories:

1.) Pluto’s claim sounds in equity: quantum meruit. If Pluto no longer is part of the celestial contract, and apparently never really was, it at least has a beef for services rendered all these years.

2.)Eminent domain: “Cosmic taking” damages under the Fifth Amendment is another theory since Pluto got bulldozed out of a long-standing scientific model.

3.)Fraud, misrepresentation, or at least a detrimental reliance theory under the Restatement of Ks (2nd).

4.) Even Justice Scalia might give standing to an aggrieved planet. We wait for Pluto’s phone call.

Now, I know differ with a lot of conservatives out there when I say that President Bush is MUCH TOO informal. A lot of you like that folksy way President Bush has of talking. You enjoy Bush's slang and his nicknames for everyone he meets.

I on the other hand think that the office President Bush holds is much too important to be treated in such an informal way.

I am not saying that President Clinton was any better mind you! He took being in the Oval office and being informal to a whole other level!

I wish President Bush had the stage quality of President Reagan. Sigh, but I don't think that is happening anytime soon.

Iran Plans Stoning For Adultery Crime

It is important to realize who we are dealing with in the Middle East. So while stories like this one are very disturbing, they must be read.

Now, I am against the death penalty in general. But this stoning an especially brutal way to die.

Oh, yes. Iran is very progressive indeed. The country even has the rock selection for the stoning down to a science:

Article 104 of the Iranian Penal Code states that the stones used for
execution should "not be large enough to kill the person by one or two strikes, nor should they be so small that they could not be defined as stones."

Thinking About 2008?

Yes, of course you folks are interested in who will run for president in 2008. And yes, it is still a long ways away and many things might change... but politics is that addicting!

I thought it might be fun if I started to profile some of the less common names tossed about for president. So hold tight America and start learning about your potential future leaders!

Today we look at Mike Huckabee. Who is Mike Huckabee? Well, he is the Republican governor down in that great southern state of Arkansas.

The man lost 110 pounds while governor (I guess he really enjoyed those southern grits). Huckabee even wrote a book about weight loss tips! In addition Huckabee plays guitar in a band.

Huckabee is pretty conservative on social matters for instance supporting the teaching of "intelligent design" in Arkansas' public schools.

Fiscally, Huckabee calls himself a "Paradoxical" Republican. He wishes to cut taxes and reduce government but his strong religious faith refuses to allow him to cut services for the most needy. (To me this smells like code that Huckabee might like the big government of the Bush administration).

I have been telling you folks for a while-the Republicans of today are nothing like the Reagan Republicans of years past. Oh, the GOP uses the same slogans as it did in the past. But when it comes down to it there are very few true conservatives in Congress. Here is an excellent post describing the huge increases in government spending.

These Republican "conservatives" don't mind expanding government. In fact they seem to enjoy it as much as the Liberals in this country do.

Indian Premier Calls For End To Killing Of Unborn Girls

Surprise, Surprise! More unborn girl babies are being eliminated through abortion than boy babies in India!

For a while I have been saying that if abortion is allowed it will result in a lot more females being destroyed than males. The bottom line is simple-a female needs an expensive dowry and is worth less in society. So why should a family want to raise a baby girl? Where is the incentive?

I don't see how feminists can support abortion with situations like this happening around the world.

As many of you folks might know I am a devout Roman Catholic. The Catholic Church is a very important part of my life. I think that the Church has done a lot of good for mankind through its charity work and schools. I am very proud to be a Catholic.

However, and it pains me to say this, the Catholic Church is failing in its duty to condemn Islamic Fascism.

Oh yes, the Church was great at fighting against Communism but for some reason it is pretty light on Fascism. The Church should criticize Muslims that practice violence and terror on their neighbors. Sadly it has been slow in doing just that.

In fact, the Church as a whole has a very poor record so far on the War on Terror. Check out what Church officials said after Saddam was captured. And the Catholic Church was a little too close to Arafat for my liking as this document reveals.

Now, I know that the Church wants to side with the little guy, the weak side in the situation. I imagine that's why the Pope had so much love for Arafat. But the Church also has a pretty weak record on fascism in the past century. There is some definite room for improvement.

On this War on Terrorism the Catholic Church must stand up for what is right. It must condemn those that practice violence to spread Islam.

Let's not make the same mistakes of the past.

I would have more faith in the Muslim community if I saw more a more active response AGAINST Radical Islam. The moderate Muslims should be helping to turn in the Radical Muslims.

But of course that doesn't happen. When it comes to matters of terrorism Moderate Muslims say very little.

I would think that Moderate Muslims would want to be active in helping to clear the tarnished name of Islam. The first step is to stand up to the Radical Muslims in their communities.

This site has an excellent video of Muslim kids shouting pro-war chants at the rally.

Now, remember this was suppose to be an anti-war rally!

The scary thing is that there were thousands of kids at the rally acting in a similar way.

My prediction? These "anti-war" rallies are going to get more and more violent in the future.


By the way, I thought it was sickening the amount of young kids at the rally. In the future, I don't give a damn if it is even a pro-Catholic/pro-life rally. I am NOT going to bring my underage children to a protest and use them like pawns. I wish other people felt the same way.

CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) is at it again! This time the group thinks that such terms as "Islamic Fascist" will give people a negative view on Islam.

I think that adding these words like "radicalism" and "fascists" and "militant" to the word "Muslim" is a great way to show that what we are dealing here is not with moderate Muslims but Muslims that wish to use violence to spread their message.

No, it is not a war on Islam as a whole. But it is a war on those who practice Islam in such a way that ends up killing their neighbors and abusing their women. And sorry these suckers are not a group of Christians.

By the way I am Irish Catholic. I condemn and despise what the Radical Catholics did in Ireland for many years. These Catholics that said that they were fighting for Ireland's freedom are just as bad as the Radical Muslims.

And yes, members of the IRA should be called "radical" and "militant." Using religion as a basis for violence is not just a problem in Islam.

This is the first Carnival that I have put on. So I am a little new to exactly how to do it. But I did receive a few great articles that I encourage everyone to read.

What exactly is Libertarian economic thought? Well, it is about respecting the will of the individual and thus respecting the will of the free market. But it is much more than that as the following three excellent articles suggest.

First off, an excellent post titled Namaste Economics. Yes, that first word didn't mean much to me until I read the article. It is pretty lengthy but well worth the read.

Next, is the only reason to support a free market economy to get filthy rich? Of course not! Free enterprise is a great way to spread political freedom as this post suggests.

Airline Terror Plot Between Britain And U.S. Stopped

So far the British have arrested 20 suspects with "strong ties" to Al Qaeda. The terrorists' plan was to take blow up the planes over the Atlantic.

Will There Be A Moderate Backlash?

Now, we can debate whether or not these people are rational until the cows come home. I really don't care. They certainly believe that they are rational to feel hurt after Lieberman losing.

I would be interested to see a "post-Lamont" backlash by some Democrats. Perhaps this will come in the form of fewer people willing to make donations to the DNC. Perhaps it will come in the form of some people getting fed up and staying at home come election time.

Whatever happens, I am sure that there will be some type of counter reaction by the moderates to the progress the Far Left has made in the Democratic party.
