Disabled Veterans Get Screwed

Look, by now you folks know that I am not a big fan of the Bush administration. I think that it is wrong on spending, wrong on foreign policy, wrong on the shape of government.

But one thing I thought that Bush was doing a good job on was support for our fighting soldiers.

But I was wrong... dead wrong.

Today I read that soldiers who were paralyzed, suffered brain damage and lost limbs owe the government enlistment bonus money.

WHAT THE HELL? You mean the "Spender In Chief" couldn't cut these poor souls some slack?

This president is a joke.

Did Everyone Know

...that Hillary Clinton's fundraisers are called "Hillraisers"?

Damn, at least she is kinda creative.

The 2008 American Auto Show

We get a lot of magazines at the apartment. We have magazine piles stacked up throughout (and I must say they are easy to trip into!).

Every once in a while something good is actually written in them.

I found this short article in Time magazine detailing the candidates as one of the most entertaining I have read in months.

Future Presidents And The Internet

Which candidate is the most tech savvy of the bunch? Which fella or gal has the most friends on Myspace.com? Which American has the most hits on his wikipedia page?

This website is keeping score.

I Betcha

....that Mr. Albert Gore runs in 2008.

You heard it here first. The man will run. There is no doubt.

Once he decides to run he will kick some ass in the primary. Hillary and Obama better watch out for a Gore ATTACK!

Jay Leno: "Congratulations, of course, to Al Gore. His movie won an Oscar. Yeah, yeah. Today, it got reversed by the Supreme Court."

Catholics And The GOP

This morning when I was looking around the Internets for some info concerning state attorneys general I stumbled across a fascinating part of the GOP.com website.

A GOP "Catholic Team"!

Doesn't that sound exciting? And I like how Catholics get a special team all to themselves--the Jews, Protestants, and Muslims get nothing. (HA HA HA)

Though I would imagine many would believe the GOP itself is a "Protestant Team."

At least the GOP is figuring out that there is going to be a huge increase in Catholics over the next 30 years in this country (thanks in part to their wussy policy on the border). The party is at least ATTEMPTING to market to Catholics.

Catholics, however, are such a mix bag of people and are very hard to target. Many various ethnic groups are Catholic. Many different economic groups are Catholic.

Let's see how well the GOP does in the upcoming election.

"Train You To Think Like A Lawyer"

That's what I have been told many times that law school is all about. A fascinating letter from the NY Times on the topic.

Tom & Jerry: A Jewish Conspiracy?

Well, yes! Of Course!

Especially if you are a Radical Muslim.

Ron Paul In 2008

Hmm.. Mr. Paul could be one candidate that I get behind in the upcoming election.

He is certainly for smaller government. I think his voice in the upcoming debates can help voters think twice about the stances that some of the leading Republicans are taking.

Fred Thompson For President?

Recently I have heard a lot of buzz concerning Fred Thompson for President.

Yes, that Fred Thompson who starred in "Law & Order" and "The Hunt For Red October."

I have to do some research to see if the man is right on the immigration and Radical Islam issues. If Mr. Thompson is... then perhaps I will support him.

So far there are no other people to support!

Anyone think that Barack Obama is getting a tad bit too much love? Perhaps?

Rethinking Gun Control In DC

Washington, DC, as you folks might know, is gun free.

Well, not really "gun free" for everyone just the law abiding citizens. The criminals have plenty of weapons.

Could all of that be changing soon?

As a personal note a female friend of mine has complained recently that she can not bring any of her guns from back home to DC. She lives in an all female house which has been broken into recently. Even worse the criminal saw one the women from the window and proceeded to beat on the door anyhow! Arming herself with pepper spray doesn't help her sleep well at night...

Utah Shooter A Muslim?

You certainly wouldn't hear that fact from a lot in the MSM. Now that right wing blogs are talking about it organizations like CAIR are extremely upset.

I am starting to believe that about 10% of Americans understand the threat from Radical Islam. The rest is trying not to be judgmental.

Hopefully everyone understands the evil of Radical Islam before it is too late.

What Should Conservatives Do?

Look, it is almost 11 PM on a Friday.... I am tired from work.... but I am thinking.

Who is the conservative candidate for President for 2008?

Surely not McCain, Romney, or Rudy!

Could this be the time when the Republican party splits? I hope so actually, I am sick and tired of RINOs (Republican In Name Only).

Football And Law

...a perfect combination.

As I watch the Colts score another touchdown to extend their lead, I realized that this will be the last football game for a while.

I also realized that I forgot to post this fascinating article detailing the best lawyer who played football.

Like I said... a great combination.
