Bill Clinton And The United Nations

Clinton and the UN... those two topics drive Conservatives absolutely wild. And why shouldn't they? Both Clinton and the UN have been less than stellar in promoting U.S. interests in the world.

Even six years after he left office Bill Clinton is still hated by most of those on the Right (especially after his most recent outburst on FoxNews). The United Nations has been further disgraced with with the radical and vile comments of Hugo Chavez.

As a result, many conservatives have called for the banishment of Bill Clinton (at least figuratively) from the public debate and for the United States to dump the United Nations.

Both sentiments are dead wrong.

Conservatives should look at Clinton and the United Nations not as separate enemies but as two pieces of a puzzle that fit perfectively in promoting U.S. interests. In this situation two wrongs DO make a right.

First off, leaving the United Nations would be a terrible decision. If we think Anti-American feeling in the U.N. is strong now just wait until we ditch our membership. The United Nations would become a ready made vehicle for organizing those who hate the United States. The rest of the world would say, and rightly so, that the United States has divided the world between the UN and the US. The rest of the world would say that the US is against the peaceful motives of the UN.

So at least by staying in the UN the United States can keep its veto vote on the Security Council and give the impression that we are promoting international dialogue.

Yes, we have so far done an extremely poor job in using the UN as a mouthpiece for promoting the US. In the end that's what the UN is good for... promoting and mouthing off. That's what Hugo recently has learned. That's what John Bolton is terrible at doing.

This is where Bill Clinton comes in. The man wants to create a legacy for himself. The man has some free time now. The man doesn't like to play 2nd fiddle to his wife. So let's make him ambassador to the United Nations.

I will wait a minute for my readers to calm down.

President Clinton would be a great pick for that post for the very characteristics that conservatives dislike in him:

1.) Clinton is loved by the International Community.
2.) Clinton has a "way with words" that will charm the pants off of the UN.
3.) Clinton wants to build his legacy and needs to show that he is tough on terror.

At a position that is largely determined by pure rhetoric Clinton would excel. Conservatives wouldn't have to worry about any poor decisions.

In addition it would be very convenient if we were to find something else for Clinton to do... other than fundraise for liberals around the country. His fundraising skills are amazing.

That's my opinion. What about yours? Leave a comment to this post or give me an e-mail at AShiningCity@gmail.com

How Do Radical Muslims Cope?

Radical Muslims live a rough life indeed.

How do Radical Muslims handle living in sweltering heat?
How do Radical Muslims handle being deprived of eating tasty porkchops?

Well, they have hobbies. Not many hobbies, but hobbies that they enjoy often.

There are two great hobbies for a Radical Muslim:
1.) Beating your 4th Wife.
2.) Getting Pissed off about insults to the great religion of Islam.

The following are two stories that satisfy the 2nd.

This first story is about how the Radical Muslims got enraged at a German Opera. Radical Muslims are not really big fans of opera. Perhaps I can find some common ground with Radical Muslims after all? Hmm... nah.

Now, for a little something closer to home. Here is a story about a car dealership from the great state of Ohio. The dealership is running a "Jihad Ad."

Don't worry if you don't understand what a "Jihad Ad" is... just click on the link.

If I was in the market for a new car I would head over to the Buckeye State.

Dolphin May Get A Prosthetic Tail

The girlfriend has the ability of finding the cutest tales (pun intended). She forwarded this one to me yesterday.

A heart warming story indeed! Flipper might be back in action very soon!

GOP Aide Busted For Fake Blog Posts On Liberal Sites

Okay, so get this.

A congressional aide senses that his boss is about to be fired by the people of New Hampshire. He is worried. What will happen to his job? Wouldn't it be a shame if a Democrat took over?

So what does the aide do? Well, how about a Trojan horse move?

Yeah, that will work.

Need To Know Zionist Companies?

I bet you were thinking, when you were drinking that enjoyable soda pop, "Damn, I wonder why they call this stuff PEPSI."

Well, the Iranian news has the answer right here.

Terrible Story

This story happened a while ago... but it was news to me. It almost seems made up.

(It is a little long I know... but please read it to the end. Watch out for sickos out there).

Legalized Genocide And The Catholic Vote

Kerwin (a frequent commentator on this blog) made a great statement concerning what isssues should matter to the Catholic vote. I wanted to include the statement in a post:

"A fact that a lot of people do not know is that 1.2 million or so children are killed by legal abortion in the United States. That means that one out of every five children conceived in the U.S. is deliberately and arbitrarily put to death. This genocide can end if we all make it a priority."

Check out his blog. Right on Kerwin... right on!

Notre Dame And Georgia: Two Amazing Victories

Wow, yesterday's college football games were just outstanding!

The first game, Georgia-Colorado, wasn't on TV so the girlfriend and I had to find a bar in Virginia to watch it. (I really need to order the Super+++ Deluxe College Football plan so I can see all the games in the comfort of my own home.)

Boy, was that game miserable for 3 quarters! Our true freshman quarterback looked very very rough. On top of that the Dawg's great Defense was let up close to 200 yards rushing! And all of this came during a game against a 0-3 team!

But Joey Cox, the replacement QB did swell and led a great Georgia comeback. The man has earned his right to start next game against Ole Miss. Richt would be insane if he chooses not to start Cox.

That comeback was great... but the Notre Dame game was what legends are made of...

Hopefully Notre Dame gained some confidence for the rest of their brutal schedule.

College football in the fall... there is nothing better!
Bill Clinton's Last Days In Office

I read about this video in the book "The Survivor: Bill Clinton In The White House."

It is an extremely funny clip presented to the press a few days before Clinton left office.

Dawgs Play Colorado This Saturday

This game looked pretty hot at the beginning of the season.

I am happy that my Georgia Dawgs took a chance and scheduled what it seemed like a decent opponent. Georgia football needs to do more of that actually. I would like to see a Georgia-Michigan matchup in the future.

At the very least Georgia should schedule some away games out of the South.

Yes, tomorrow's game looked promising at the start of the season. Not so much now. Colorado is 0-3.

I don't think it is going to be much of a game.

Religious Tolerance: A Two-Way Street

This article hits the Radical Muslim problem dead on.

How can we be tolerant of intolerance?

Sometimes tolerance is pushed to far. Sometimes being tolerant means protecting groups from the abuse of others.

Democrats Stand Up For President Bush

...and bash our friend from the South. Check out some of the comments here.

This is excellent from Charlie Rengel:

"You do not come into my country, my congressional district, and you do not condemn my president. If there is any criticism of President Bush, it should be restricted to Americans, whether they voted for him or not. I just want to make it abundantly clear to Hugo Chavez or any other president, do not come to the United States and think because we have problems with our president that any foreigner can come to our country and not think that Americans do not feel offended when you offend our Chief of State.”

Boycott Citgo

After our friend from the South's speech yesterday, some groups are preparing to boycott Citgo.

Citgo is run by the Venezuelan government. Money going to Citgo supports the government.

I have no problem sticking it to our friend from the South. The American people will have to stand up for this country even if our President is too afraid.

Presidential Doodles

Check out this neat story concerning Presidents and their little drawings.

I can't doodle. Well, scratch that... I can.

I can draw a mean stickman.

How Should Catholics Vote?

This coming election brings up the question (which seems to come up every time!) of who Roman Catholics should support.

Which candidates follow the moal life teachings of the Church? How should Catholics balance the issues of abortion, poverty, gay marriage, and war when they are making their choices?

Here is one article that states that Catholics don't always have to vote Republican.

Here is another article finding fault with the first article.

I can tell from first hand experience that there seems to be two groups of devout Catholics. The first group is like my parents and will always vote Republican. This group is more of the "Puritan Work Ethic" type (there is a difference between how Protestants view poverty and how Roman Catholics traditionally view poverty). They feel sympathy for the poor but prefer to help them through private donations rather than through the government.

The other group, as I see it, is a more Democratic leaning group of Catholics. An Uncle and Aunt of mine seem to fall into this group. These Catholics like the fact that the Democratic Party mentions helping the poor and the weak. They feel it is government's role to help the most needy. These Catholics at least consider voting for the Democrat in the election.

However, even the 2nd group is not likely to actually vote for the Democrat. The issue that deters them? The Democratic Party's love of Pro-Choice forces..

Chic Muslim Clothing

Yes, I used the word "chic"... deal with it.

Moderate Muslims can turn to this website to buy the latest fashions.

Some of the stuff on there is actually pretty stylin'. Perhaps the girlfriend might want a few select pieces.

Deaf People Sue Redskins

As if the poor Redskins haven't suffered enough this season! Now they have the Deaf after them??

Be Not Afraid

We in the West have been very apologetic towards the Radical Muslims as of late. We apologize for what happened during the Crusades a thousand years ago. We apologize for a two paragraph section in the Pope's lecture. We apologize for a couple cartoons.

Well, I believe that we should stop apologizing and start standing up against the advances of Radical Islam.

This author agrees. He believes that we have backed down too many times. That morally, when it comes to the issue of individual rights, Western culture is far more superior than anything the Radical Muslims have been able to put together.

The Origins Of Blackacre And Greenacre

While sitting through Property class last semester I wondered, as I looked down at the problems in the textbook, "Why is every damn piece of land called 'Blackacre'?"

Sometimes the text's authors would switch it up a tad... substituting different colors.

Still, that question bothered me greatly and thus damaged my concentration (at least that's my excuse).

Finally... I found the answer.

Chavez Calls Bush "The Devil" In A Speech At The U.N.

Wow, our buddy from the South is pretty damn crazy isn't he?

From Chavez's Speech:

I think that the first people who should read this book are our brothers and sisters in the United States because their threat is in their own house. The devil is right at home. The devil, the devil himself is right in the house. And the devil came here yesterday. Yesterday the devil came here. Right here. (crosses himself) Right here. And it smells of sulfur still today. This table that I am now standing in front of, yesterday ladies and gentlemen, from this rostrum, the President of the United States, the gentleman to whom I refer as ‘the devil’ came here talking as if he owned the world. Truly as the owner of the world. I think we can call a psychiatrist to analyze yesterday’s statement made by the President of the United States.
Now, will President Bush defend himself? Doubtful.
Will President Bush defend the honor of the United States against this attack? Even more doubtful.

President Bush Stops Using The Term "Islamic Fascism"

Yes, Ladies and Gentleman, President Bush is a wuss.

The fact that Bush was considered a "straight shooter" was the last remaining defense for Bush supporters.

People would send me e-mails, "Yes, President Bush has been spending like a drunken ape but he is tough with terror. LOL!"

Well, Bush supporters can not hide behind that false belief any longer!

Radical Muslims And The Pope

Okay, okay... calm down. I know I have been writing a lot about the Pope's recent comments.

You must understand that as a Roman Catholic, this all seems very personal to me.

So I must add one more post on the whole conflict between Radical Muslims and the Pope. I thought that this writer hit the Radical Muslims with what hurts most... the truth.

Kuwaiti Daily Disses Dictator

Ah, some Arabs are protesting against the Iranian President!

The sound of criticism is like music to my Western ears.

Frist Pushes For Border Fence Between Mexico And U.S.

Interesting, could it be that the good Senator is preparing for a run in 2008?

Nah, I am sure he REALLY does want to protect this country.

But in the end it doesn't matter. If some conservatives are feeling a little bit of political pressure to build a fence between Mexico and the United States that is a good thing.

Michelle Malkin Right About President Bush

Finally, one of the smartest people on the Internet admits that President Bush has some problems.

Michelle Malkin says:

Oh, and couldn't Bush's speechwriters have seen fit to squeeze in something, anything, condemning Pope Rage in today's U.N. speech? Silly me. That wouldn't be conducive to "dialogue."

Parents Kidnap Daughter To Force Abortion On Her

Wow, this story blew my mind.

Now, I certainly am not saying that the vast majority of Pro-Choice people would kidnap somebody in order to perform an abortion on them. So don't send me any e-mails saying "AShiningCity, this just shows how much you are Anti-Choice."

Which reminds me, I am not "Anti-Choice." I am "Pro-Life."

I don't call the other side "Anti-Life."

Stick to the label each group has given itself.

Where Are All The Moderate Muslims?

My question exactly. This article digs deeper into the problem.

Moderate Muslims, stop hiding! Come out and say something about the Radicals in your religion. It is vital that Moderates protest the violence being done in the name of Islam.

It is not too late for the Moderates to strike back against the Radicals.

Pictures From The Radical Muslim Protest Against The Pope

Muslims Respond To The Pope

Here Are Some Quotes From Various Muslims Around The World:

The "Pope should fall on his knees in front of a senior Muslim cleric and try to understand Islam." (The powerful cleric Ahmad Khatami told theological students in the holy city of Qom)

"You dog of Rome" and threatened to "shake your thrones and break your crosses in your home" (A website run in the name of the Mujahedeen Army)

"Pope go to Hell" and "Jesus is the slave of Allah" (Signs carried by Muslim protesters outside a Catholic Church in London)

"Whoever insults the message of Mohammed is going to be subject to capital punishment." He added, threatening the Pope, : "I am here have a peaceful demonstration. But there may be people in Italy or other parts of the world who would carry that out." (A Quote from the leader of the protest in London).

The source for these quotes is here.

All peace loving people in the world, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Atheists, Christians, and Moderate Muslims need to begin a crusade against these Radical Muslims. Every Radical Muslim must be faced down with courage. We can't let these Radicals push us around any longer.

Radical Islam is a disease on the world. The sooner we realize this the better.

Cartoons Are Funny

Radicalism Must Be Condemned No Matter Where It Is Found

Let me be extremely clear (because some people still don't get it).

Radicalism can occur anywhere. No country, religion, or people can be completely immune.

My own Church, for instance, supported the Inquisition ,a terrible event.

The people of Germany supported the Nazis and thus condemned millions of Jews, Catholics, homosexuals, and many other groups to death.

But the wrongs of the past do not support the wrongs of today.

The people of Germany should not be held responsible for the acts of their fathers and grandfathers. Each new generation should have a chance to prove that it can be peaceful and productive.

Right now the Radical Muslims are proving that their generation to be as bad as Nazi Germany and the Catholic Church during the Inquisition.

Radical Muslims Kill A Catholic Nun

After the Pope's recent comments on Radical Islam some Radical Muslims have been very upset.

A Radical Cleric in Somalia advocated violence. And surprise surprise...his followers listened and killed a nun.

The nun was in her 60s and had worked at the hospital taking care of women and children for the last few years.

So this is how Radical Islam confronts the stereotype of being violent... through acts of violence? I hope to see many Moderate Muslims condemning this act of violence.

Though I won't hold my breath.

Screw Radical Islam!

Yes, Radical Islam can go to hell! I am off to mass, but rest assured I will have some great posts later on concerning Radical Islam and Catholicism.

If I was Pope I would tell the truth. Radical Islam is a threat to all peace loving people in this world. It must be eliminated. It must be crushed.

In Memory Of Timothy Stout

Mr. Timothy Stout, 42, was a Boston native who worked as a quality assurance analyst for Cantor Fitzgerald, the bond firm, with an office on the 103rd floor of the World Trade Center’s South Tower.

Timothy C. Stout and his wife, Maryellen, had recently moved into a new home in the Hudson River town of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., with their three children -— Timothy Jr., 6, Matthew, 5, and Shannon, 4.

Mr. Stout seems to have been a devoted family man according to this account:

One day one of my kids said, `Can you play me like a banjo, Mom?' " Maryellen Stout said.

"I had no idea; then I realized my husband would pick him up and play him like a banjo. He's a big kid, 70 pounds, and I said, `Sorry, Matt, I can't do that.' These are the kinds of things he would do with them."

Timothy C. Stout, 42, did the family's laundry, made fabulous garlicky corn on the grill, popped popcorn with the kids and grilled pork chops with a secret coating. It has been hard for Mrs. Stout to try to take over any of those activities.

A few months after Mr. Stout, a quality assurance specialist at Cantor Fitzgerald, died at the World Trade Center, his children — Timothy Jr., Matthew, and Shannon, — made a list of the 10 Best Things About Daddy:

1. He grilled well.
2. Hugs.
3. Funny.
4. Birthday party and cake.
5. He loved us.
6. Kisses.
7. "Thank you and good night!" (His favorite phrase to encourage the children to go to sleep already, Mrs. Stout explained.)
8. Snuggling.
9. Surprises — movies, treats, adventures.
10. We love Daddy.

"That's pretty much who he was," Mrs. Stout said. "He was Daddy. He had this job because it was a safe job, and he could be home for dinner every night."

Mr. Stout had been an avid member of the crew team at the University of New Hampshire. In honor of his memory his former crewmates bought a boat and named it after him.

Please note, this post doesn't reflect any endorsement of Mr. Stout with the politics of Shining City Atop a Hill. I don't know his politics but it doesn't matter if he was a Republican, Democrat, or a Capitalist or a Communist. It doesn't matter if Mr. Stout was Catholic or Protestant...Jewish or Muslim. What matters is that Mr. Stout lost his life in the tragic events of September 11th.

During this 5th Anniversary of of the terrorist attacks, I will take some time to remember Mr. Stout. Even though I have never met him or his young family, I hope that both have found peace.

For a week this post will stay on top of the blog. Updates will be seen below.

Pope Attacks Islam's Jihad

Finally the Catholic Church is standing up to these Radical Muslim punks!

This could be Pope Benedict XVI's legacy... fighting back against Radical Islam.

The Pope's next move should be to visit specific areas in Africa and the Middle East where Radical Muslims are in conflict with Catholics.

This battle against Radical violent Islam can be won!

I Love Ronald Reagan

Bob Casey

I was happy that I got a chance to attend a speech by Bob Casey, who is running for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, at my law school yesterday.

It ends up that Mr. Casey was a graduate from my law school which was pretty neat.

I am happy that the man is pro-life. That takes some guts for a Democrat to say that he is pro-life.

But I wasn't that impressed by Mr. Casey's speech. The same old "the government can help people find jobs, get better educations, find more attractive mates, and lose weight" crap you tend to hear from some economic liberals.

Cartoons Are Funny

Christian Sign Offensive To Muslims

Some Muslims are offended by this Christian Church's sign.

Can't we have a free flow of ideas back and forth? Don't Muslims usually want Christians to convert? Why can't Christians want Muslims to convert?

I don't know if the sign is scary at all.

If a sign said "Catholics can convert here" in front of a mosque I would say, "Well, I knew that already. Ho Hum."

Sam Alito Loved Ronald Reagan

Well, okay so no shock there. But the story is still pretty interesting.

The fact that Alito was so impressed by Reagan is a good sign. Hopefully Alito will stay conservative his entire time on the Court.

The Catholic Church Is Wrong

... on the issue of illegal immigration. I condemn my Church leaders for supporting illegal immigration.

Archbishop Chaput said this in the article:
"Something's not working," Chaput said. We don't think people should break the law, but if the law is continually broken, it means there's something wrong with the law."

Whoa, whoa, whoa. A leader in the Catholic Church is saying that if a law is continually broken something is wrong with the law? Hmm... I could name a few laws that are broken in the Catholic Church. Does that mean that those Catholic laws and doctrine are wrong?

Joe Scarborough: Republicans Must Lose!

A great article on the need for divided government.

A War With All Of Islam?

This author believes that the West is at war... not with just the Radical Muslims... with all of Islam.

I disagree. I think that this war is with Radical Islam.

I do not hold the Muslims living in the world peacefully responsible for the events of September 11th.

However, now Moderate Muslims can not be passive anymore. It is up the the Moderate Muslims to challenge the Radical Muslims.

I have faith that they will... but time is running out.

A Pregnant Man?

This story is just amazing.

Newt Gingrich In 2008

Perhaps I am a bit ahead of myself but I think I am going to vote for Newt Gingrich in 2008. Of all the members in the Republican pack, Mr. Gingrich is the only one who has solid conservative values.

The Republican party needs to get back to cutting back the size of the federal government. The Republican party needs to get serious about Radical Islam. Under Bush's leadership it has failed in both areas.

Check out Gingrich's plan for America here.

A "September 12th" Mentality

Today there will be a lot of September 11th tributes to the victims of the terrorist attacks. Articles will be written and TV programs will be produced honoring the victims. Remembering the tragic events of that day is extremely important. I hope that all the families hurt through the loss of a loved one find peace.

However, we as Americans have never been just "victims" and can not start acting like victims because of the attacks. People speak of the September 10th mentality, that is not understanding the threats in the world. The September 11th mentality is honoring the victims.

I say we should look instead at September 12th, 2001 the first full day after the attacks. What have be done to make sure events like this have will never occur again. What have we done to protect ourselves?

The American people are a people of action. Just understanding the threat, while vital, is not good enough. We must act to eliminate that threat.

So will September 12, 2001 be remembered as the first day of the campaign for victory or the start of a slow decline for the American Republic? What will school children learn in their classrooms 50 years from now about our response to this great challenge? The jury is still out on those questions.

We have responded well in some areas. The military invasion of Afghanistan was relatively successful. We have found success in protecting our airlines.

But the news is not all good. Not by a long shot. We have failed at border security. Iraq, right now, is a failure. We have failed at screening packages entering into our ports.

So today remember the horrible events of September 11th. But tomorrow, September 12th, let's get back to work.

President Bush Is No FDR

At least according to this author.

Now, I don't know how Republicans will respond to the column. I don't think many Republicans would want their President to be FDR.

But then again President Bush increased the size of the Federal Government.

FDR would be proud.

Harvard Students Plan To Protest Iranian Leader

Thank goodness someone is protesting this nut job.

Why is President Bush allowing this man to enter the country? That is just insane! I thought Mr. Bush was suppose to be tough on terror!

Yet, we are spending taxpayers' money to protect this Radical as he heads to Harvard to give his speech.

Ohio State Football Team Beats Texas. Ohio State Students Burn Things.

I can understand people getting excited about a big college football win. I was pumped up that my Dawgs beat South Carolina this weekend. (In addition, good job Fighting Irish! My brother, a freshman at the university, was thrilled!) But would I destroy property?

Nah.

Check out what the Buckeye fans did this weekend.

What goes through their minds? "Ya! We won! Let's turn over that Ford Focus in the parking lot and set it on fire!"

I am very sensitive to Reagan's memory. Don't screw with Reagan!!

bin Laden Had A Lot To Say This Summer

bin Laden should get a talkshow. The guy loves to run his mouth.

Iraq Hated Al Qaeda

...at least according to this Senate report.

I figured as much. Iraq as a secular dictatorship most likely would not have liked the religious radical views of bin Laden.

It is such a shame that we chose to spend our resources in invading that country.

The United States Wants To Return Iran 30 Years Backwards?

That's what the Iranian President believes at least.

Check out the link. There is a great Iranian poem there as well.

Damnit, Can't They Find ANY Private Land?

Look Mr. Government Man... there is plenty of private land out there to build a cross upon. Please find somewhere to place your religious symbols.

From the story concerning the Mt. Soledad Memorial :

In legal papers, the ACLU noted that the cross on Mt. Soledad is a Latin cross that originated with the Roman Catholic Church and it does not represent all Christian denominations, let alone other religions or non-believers. Therefore, the government is not only favoring a particular religion but a sect within that denomination.

The Thomas More Law Center disagrees with the ACLU.

Now, what would Conservatives think if a Mosque was put in that location? Ah... now that wouldn't be very nice? But it is fine to have Roman Catholic cross. That is just crazy.

Wow.

Teaching 9/11

Looks like our buddies over at CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) hate how some textbooks are teaching the events of September 11th.

CAIR dislikes the use of the phrases like "Muslim Extremists" and "Muslim Terrorists" throughout the books.

It seems to me that the moderate Muslims would like to describe those that caused 9/11 as "terrorists" and "extremists." Doesn't that put some separation between the Radicals and the rest of the followers of Islam?

Some of you folks will say "But AShiningCity, you must hate Muslims to say something like that!" Sorry, but no dice. Radicals are Radicals anywhere.

Take the IRA in Ireland for instance. Blowing up British buildings for the "Liberty of Ireland." I call those folks Catholic Extremists and Catholic Terrorists. That's what the IRA is and I, as a Irish Catholic, refuse to be associated with that group. The Moderate Muslims should do the same with their Radicals.

The United Nations And Iran?

Well, what a wonderful picture this makes.

Will the United Nations wake up before Iran sends nuclear weapons into Israel?

Nah, the United Nations is too busy negotiating.

"Crusaders" Should Convert

...at least that's what this Radical Muslim believes.

Well, this "Crusader" is not going anywhere.

Miller Beer Is Crap

First off, Miller beer tastes terrible and is owned by a South African County. Now Miller is supporting illegal immigration.

Damn, I know Budweiser isn't amazing... but it is still a helluva lot better than Miller.

Great Cartoon

If you are not a Radical Muslim, the Radical Muslims want to kill you. It is that simple. It doesn't matter that you didn't vote for Bush (Hell, I didn't vote for Bush).

I admit that there is a lot of intolerance in this country to the groups described on the poster on the left. This country always has to work on tolerance for differing viewpoints. But our nation's mistakes are nothing compared to the pure hatred the Radical Muslims have for ANYONE who is different.

Nazi Humor?

Learn all the jokes that were told in Germany during the 1930s!

Here is a great example of one of the jokes:

Hitler and Goering are standing atop the Berlin Television Tower. Hitler says, "I'd like to do something to cheer up the Berliners." Goering: "Then jump."

After reading that I am sure that your belly aches with laughter. Who knew dictators could be so much fun?

GOP Sets Aside Work Preventing Illegal Immigration

The Congressional Republicans think that they should be spending time on other issues in the hope of scoring points with the voters come November.

Wise up RINOs (Republicans In Name Only)! One of the huge issues for voters this November IS border security.

Santorum Calls Bush A "Terrific" President

I saw this debate on "Meet The Press" on Sunday. Santorum looks like he is in for some trouble come November.

Mr. Santorum looks like he is all of 14 years old. Not that impressive.

CAIR Launches New Brand Identity

Yep, CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) has a snazzy new logo and a new brand. Isn't that swell?

Perhaps now they will start criticizing Radical Muslims. Just a thought.

Does The GOP Have Too Much Power?

Hillary Clinton Not To Run In 2008?

Many believe that Hillary Clinton is the obvious leader for the Democratic nod come 2008. But according to this article (Hat Tip Matt Drudge) a few insiders are expressing caution.

I think Mrs. Clinton has a lot of ego... and wouldn't want to take a backseat to anyone. I can't see a situation in which she doesn't run in 2008.

Washington D.C. Zoo Shows Off Three Sumatran Tiger Cubs

Finally, an animal I would enjoy seeing! The girlfriend was pumped up about the pandas in our D.C. Zoo. But I was never amazed. Glorified teddy bears in my opinion.

Now these suckers could rip a panda in half. That would be something I wouldn't mind seeing!

The College Football Season Begins

This is my favorite time ... the college football season!

My Georgia Bulldawgs play against Western Kentucky today at 12:30. I don't think that will be much of a game... but you can never tell with the Dawgs. Sometimes they are hot and sometimes they are not.

Here is a picture of Uga (our school's bulldog mascot).

The big game tonight is Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech. My brother is a freshman at the University of Notre Dame and he has very high hopes for the season. Being a UGA grad I hope that the Fighting Irish destroy evil Georgia Tech.

Now everybody sing: It's the most wonderful time of the year!

South Park And The Republican Party

How can a cartoon explain what's wrong with the Republican party? This article is dead on.

The GOP has lost its libertarian wing, exchanging it instead for the Religious Right.

What a sad state of affairs.
