But it is a very American approach to life, and it has to do with knowing that the government is not your master, that America is good, that freedom is good and must be defended, and communism is very, very bad.

Disabled Veterans Get Screwed

Look, by now you folks know that I am not a big fan of the Bush administration. I think that it is wrong on spending, wrong on foreign policy, wrong on the shape of government.

But one thing I thought that Bush was doing a good job on was support for our fighting soldiers.

But I was wrong... dead wrong.

Today I read that soldiers who were paralyzed, suffered brain damage and lost limbs owe the government enlistment bonus money.

WHAT THE HELL? You mean the "Spender In Chief" couldn't cut these poor souls some slack?

This president is a joke.

Football And Law

As I watch the Colts score another touchdown to extend their lead, I realized that this will be the last football game for a while.

Privatizing Our National Parks

I am a big fan of nature. For me nothing beats listening to the rain or the birds chirping in the forest during the early morning.

But you know what? The Federal government should not be involved in "preserving" the environment through national parks.

American Kids Don't Know American History

I have always said that it is extremely important to teach history and government in our schools. These two subjects will become vital resources of knowledge when the children grow up to be voting citizens in our great Republic.

Sadly I don't think that we are teaching kids much in public schools.

The Minimum Wage Debate

Now that the Democrats are in control of Congress many suspect that they will push for a minimum wage increase.

There are those who support such a move.

And those against it.

As you, my gentle reader, might have guessed I am against the minimum wage. I destroy the concept of a minimum wage in this post.

And as you might have predicted, my dear educated reader, President Bush disagrees with me.

Anti-War Crowd Protests The Democrats

I am sure that many on the Left felt that if they elected a Democratic Congress the troops would be brought home very quickly from Iraq.

Now those on the Far Left are concerned that the Democrats aren't doing enough. And they are making their voices heard.

Glenn Reynolds is right on when he says:

"The antiwar crowd destroyed the Democrats once; they're set to do it again."

The Good Shepherd Is A GREAT Flick

Over the Holiday Break I was able to go see the Good Shepherd in theaters.

Now this sucker was 3 hours long but I loved every minute of it! (Most seemed to like the movie. Some didn't like the length). Some have even compared it to the Godfather movies for spy flicks. I don't disagree.

Though Good Shepherd was violent I am sure that it didn't hold a candle to this flick.

UPDATE: Some REALLY didn't like the flick!

I am a big fan of Everybody Loves Raymond. This annoys my roommate to a great degree. I don't care... it is a quality show.

Anyhow, today I regret to inform my readers that the father on Everybody Loves Raymond passed away. He was one of the funniest characters on the show.

Barney Cam Is Back

With the Christmas season comes White House celebrations.

If you folks didn't already know it President Bush has a little dog named Barney. Each year Barney has a Holiday adventure. The video is very cute.

By the way, I love that type of dog.... when I earn the big time lawyer bucks I will get myself one!

The White House Christmas Tree Lighting

Last year the girlfriend and I went to go see the tree lighting. Because of security issues they kept most of the crowd far away and it was a tad difficult to see. I still enjoyed it though.

And today we didn't make it to the White House because we both had an Evidence Exam. Believe me it would have been better to be at the White House.
