Bush And The NAACP

Here is a transcript of Bush's speech to the NAACP.

CNN has some analysis right here.

I have heard talk on the Internet that Bush got a "lukewarm reception" to his speech.

Now, I am not following here. What did the NAACP want President Bush to say?

Bush said this:

Increased funding of public schools? Check!
Increased funding in the inner cities? Check!

Still, the NAACP is not happy.

I have concluded that the only way the NAACP is happy is increased massive expenditures by the federal government.

In the NAACP's mind if you promote a huge government then you are understanding of Black plight. Anything less than that and , in the NAACP's mind, perhaps you are working for the KKK.
